VICARAGE LANE WINES

Vicarage Lane is a small Marlborough winery, which has been producing wine since 2004, concentrating mainly on the export market, through our strong connections to Finland, but also selling through selected NZ outlets. The Finnish connection comes not only from part owner Satu Lappalainen's rich ancestry, but also husband John Kennard's 30 year history as a codriver in the World Rally Championship, a sport much loved by the Finns.This connection is also reflected in the company's distinct bottles, which feature intertwined New Zealand and Finnish flags on the caps, plus a range of labels based around the outstanding works of South Island based Finnish artist, Sirpa Alalääkkölä. We are a fully accredited sustainable producer, from vineyard to winery, to bottling.

Internationally renowned and one of New Zealand's most experienced wine makers, with over 20 years of experience. Alan has guided us through all of our vintages, be they easy or hard, since the first in 2004 and has been a key figure in developing the New Zealand wine styles that are enjoyed by our customers.
